New In: Mandara Spa!

Hello My Lovelies

A while ago the lovely lot at Mandara Spa sent me a huge bundle of gorgeous products (some of which I've already posted about) but my stand out items are in this post and ones that I will be repurchasing as soon as I've emptied them!

All of the products come from the Tropical Bloom collection a beautiful scent that reminds me of holidays in the sun. The bath milk is a large 500ml bottle, so lots of hot baths to be had and plenty of time to relax with a book.
The oil has nourishing coconut oil, smoothing honey extract and moisturising macadamia nut and rosehip oils and can be used as a moisturiser, massage oil, bath oil and feels wonderful on the hair- I've loved adding this to the ends of my summer parched hair helping to keep it silky and leaving it soft. I've also used the oil for when my back aches and I need a quick massage- it's lovely and relaxing and great for when you need a pamper.

Finally the hand wash is perfect for any bathroom, the scent takes inspiration from the lush gardens of Phuket, the calming blend of exotic jasmine and ylang ylang evoke the tranquillity of this idyllic island. It's a lovely creamy hand wash that has moisturising oils and leaves your hands feeling fresh, soft and super clean.

You can pick these products up from your local Sainsbury's or online at timetospa.co.uk

Have you purchased any of the lovely products from Mandara Spa?  Let me know in the comments.

Till next time,
                  Tori.

Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Muse Eyeshadow Quad!

Hello My Lovelies

Be still my beating heart! New to Charlotte Tilbury and their Christmas range is the most beautiful quad that I have ever (well since my Mark Jacobs one) seen and I just couldn't resist purchasing it.

The quad comes from the 'Dreamy Look' which ties in with lots of other beautiful products from Charlotte including the hot lips shade in Secret Salma (on my wish list!) and the four shades in the palette are meant to take you from desk to disco.
I've always been tempted to buy a palette from the range but could never make up my mind on which one, but when I saw the four colours which are all stunning golds, champagnes and bronzes I knew it was right up my street.

Having only tried it once so far it's hard to gift it a fair review but what I can say is I'm loving it so far. You're supposed to use the first shade to prime, the second to enhance, third to add a smokey look and the fourth to add a pop of colour. I'm not one for following these kind of make up rules and like to experiment and find my favourite way of applying them. So far I've them really easy to apply and blend my favourite colour so far is the bottom left in the palette and one I can see myself wearing time and time again.

The packaging of this quad is super delightful and apparently limited edition! You can't beat the way Charlotte Tilbury presents her products and the gorgeous star across the front of the palette including the tiniest detail of a star on the inside mirror really does please me!

Not only this but my parcel arrived exquisitely packed with samples of the Hot Lips lipstick in the shade Kim K, a Goddess Skin Clay Mask and new product a perfume sample. Also in my box was a cute key charm as the fragrance is called Scent of a Dream 'The Key To Attraction' finally they also added a cool box that you place your mobile in and can watch a great promo for the fragrance (you have to try it to believe it.)

Are you tempted by any of the new Charlotte Tilbury releases? What are your favourite items from her, I would love some recommendations!!

Till next time,
                   Tori.

New In: Avon Ideal Flawless CC Pencils

Hello My Lovelies

It seems like every brand is on the CC pencil and palette band wagon and Avon have just released their own which is great for beauty lovers like me!

These fab little colour correcting pencils are nice and chunky and glide on problem areas with such ease. They are the perfect size for travel and handbags for little touch ups during the day.

Each pencil was easy to blend to the skin my particular favourite being the 'softening yellow' which combats dark under eye circles (which I suffer from and hate) and which brightened my eye to give a 'wide awake look.'
The lilac pencil is made specially for dull skin and is to help even out the skin tone and illuminate the face whilst the green pencil is to conceal and neutralise red patches and blemishes.

I found that using these under my foundation really helped give my skin a lovely base and made my eyes look much brighter and awake. Priced at a reasonable £8 each they are available now from your local Avon rep or online at www.avon.uk.com

Are you tempted to try these new Avon colour correctors? Let me know in the comments what you think of the shades.

Product of the Mid Month- Nivea Q10 Plus Day Cream.

Hello My Lovelies

I'm always trying to find a moisturiser that I'm happy with. One that won't break me out or make my skin super greasy so when I saw a couple of celebrities and bloggers raving about Nivea Q10 plus anti-wrinkle pore refining day cream I knew I had to try it.

This rich moisturiser feels cooling on the skin and a small amount goes a long way- in the past with other products I've slathered on way too much but with this you literally need a pea size amount to cover your whole face.
The scent is like most Nivea products a summery fragrance that reminds me of their sun cream.
It's a great base as it smooths pores (I have some on my nose) and contains SPF 15 so protects your skin as well as creating a flawless base for makeup!

Q10 and Creatine are naturally found in young skin but with age this decreases and the skin becomes more prone to wrinkles- this face cream contains both and if used regularly might reduce these. Whilst I don't think my wrinkles (I currently only have a couple) have become less pronounced I do think that the cream has helped to keep my mid morning shiny forehead at bay.
I've had a couple of spots since using this which I feel might be because I've changed my face cream but I'm sticking with it and hoping my skin adjusts.
Priced at £10 it's not cheap for 50ml (I'm a budget moisturiser user) but with the amount used each time and if you can pick it up on offer in Superdrug or Boots it's worth the price tag.

Have you tried this cream from Nivea, what are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments.

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Empties Number 14!

Hello My Lovelies

I'm back with another empties post and for the most part I've loved everything that I've used read on to see what I've repurchased!

After Superdrug discontinued their spray and go style moisturiser I decided to try out this one from Vaseline- having tried Vaseline moisturisers before and not being particularly excited about them I was shocked and surprised when I actually loved their spray version. I've already repurchased this and have been using it twice a day due to being out in the sun!
Next up is a small travel size of face wipes from Burt's Bees, I picked these up in Las Vegas earlier this year and have just got round to trying them out. They were a great size for makeup removal on the go, didn't burn my skin and did a good job of removing make up. I have another packet but in a different scent that I intend to keep for my next trip away.
I adore these sweet scented body washes from Imperial Leather this bottle in the marsh mallow fragrance smelt exactly like you would expect and the bottle lasted ages how ever I don't think I would buy this again as it started to go very watery towards the end of the bottle.

Next up is my ultimate favourite range from Soap and Glory and their Sugar Crush shower jelly! The same amazing scent that you would expect from any of these products it was fun to use and made my skin smell fab- I can't wait to pick up another of these when I'm in Boots next.
As seen in my Summer beauty essentials post I've used and repurchased the Colab Active dry shampoo-perfect for me these past few weeks as I've been in the sun (it's got UV Protection) and for when I've been walking around London as it also includes pollution protection, I can't speak highly enough of this product and basically this brand!
Finally I purchased the Dove Advanced Hair Series Absolute Quench shampoo for the first time a month or so ago when I was on the look out for a new product to try and this was in Tesco on offer. I've never seen this range from Dove before but I found it really cleaned my hair and made it super shiny- it reminds me a lot of a high end shampoo but without the price tag.

What have been your empties recently? Let me know in the comments and as always Thank You for taking the time to read and comment!

Till next time,
                  Tori.

Curvy Girl Outfit of the Day Featuring Tabitha Webb!

Hello My Lovelies

You all know how much I adore designer handbags so when I was sent a gorgeous bag by Tabitha Webb designed exclusively for Avon I couldn't wait to fill it up with all of my essentials. As the weather was so great this past weekend I knew it was the perfect opportunity to use it for the first time.

This is the first time a luxury British brand has partnered with Avon, designer Tabitha Webb has created items including a wallet and weekend bag for Avon. All of the items are PU leather and have a super pretty turquoise lining and my favourite feature gold hard wear. The handbag is really well made and attention to detail can be found from the gold studs on the bottom, popper clasp to Tabitha's name embossed on the front- this bag is affordable but looks like you've paid five times the price.

I especially can't wait to use this bag in the colder months as it such a beautiful autumnal oxblood colour and will be perfect for work as it has two large compartments for my diary and paperwork and then a middle pocket for my purse, phone and keys. When looking at purchasing another bag I always look at the way/s you can hold the bag and this one from Tabitha Webb has a grab handle that you can wear in the crook of your arm and an adjustable shoulder strap (which is how I usually wear my bags) but it's nice to have options.

Worn with my favourite dress of the moment picked up from Tesco (they do the best clothing particularly dresses!) my sunglasses from ASOS And the comfiest sandals I've ever owned from Marks and Spencer I feel this outfit is a great combination.

With my new designer bag on my shoulder I think I'm ready to pop to town for lunch in style. You can order yours from www.avon.uk.com or your local representative and they're currently on sale so be quick!

What do you think of the Avon and Tabitha Webb collaboration, will you be tempted to pick one of the pieces up? Let me know in the comments!

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Book Haul!

Hello My Lovelies

I've really slacked this year on my reading, I love to read but I just haven't had the time or inclination to pick up a book and get stuck into one for months. So it was about time that I popped along to my local book shop and picked up a few. Here are my picks!

First up is 'If I was your girl' by Meredith Russo- I've actually started reading this already (the reading drought is over!!) and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. The characters are really engaging and likeable I have my fingers crossed for a happy ending.

Next... 'After You' by Jojo Moyes. The follow up to the amazing 'Before You.' I can't wait to find out what's been happening to Louisa Clark.

The next two books are from the Zoella book club and the ones that I wanted to read the most from her selection. 'Everything Everything' by Nicola Yoon And 'Beautiful Broken Things' by Sara Barnard. I really enjoy young adult fiction sometimes even more than adult fiction and I'm super interested to see what these two books have to offer in this particular field.

Finally I randomly found this in the book shop and the synopsis drew me in straight away. 'Life after you' by Lucie Brownlee looks like it will keep me hooked right from the beginning and one that I know I won't be able to put down.

What have you read recently? Let me know in the comments as I'm always after recommendations!!

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Essence Makeup Haul!

Hello My Lovelies

Recently I was lucky enough to win a Wilko's voucher on their Twitter account and so when I was in Portsmouth for work recently I popped in and spent it all! I actually got a lot with my voucher and I couldn't resist the make up aisle. I've never picked up any items from Essence before but these three items really caught my attention and I can't wait to try them all out!

I love trying concealers out and this 'Stay all Day' looked right up my street. It reminds me of the Cover Girl concealer I picked up when I was in Las Vegas earlier this year so I'm excited to see how they compare. This concealer is meant to work like a magician and cover under eye circles for up to 16 hours!

I also couldn't leave behind this super pretty mosaic blush in the colour 'All you need is pink'- I swatched this and it's highly pigmented for a £2.50 product and I can't wait to show you all when I officially put it to the test!
Finally I picked up a mattifying powder for my super oily skin. I was running out of my Maybelline and this looked like a good alternative and only set me back £2.00.

Have you tried any products from Essence, what did you think and what are your favourite items? Let me know in the comments!
