What's in my Gucci Soho Disco Bag!

Hello My Lovelies

Recently I added to my bag collection with one that I've been lusting over for months- I couldn't stop myself checking it out on Instagram and all of the lucky ladies that had already purchased it. The bag I kept swooning over is the Gucci Soho Disco and it recently became mine a couple of months ago.

I decided to buy the bag in the colour black as I knew it would be perfect for both the Summer and Winter months and one I knew I would get lots of use out of- though I was super tempted by the rose colour. The leather is super soft and buttery and I think will wear well over time. The hard wear is gold which is my favourite, it's not a brash gold colour and in some lights looks almost silver.

So what's in it you ask? Well I try not to over stuff my bags as I don't want them to bulge or become to heavy- so what I do have in it is quite minimal, however this bag can take a lot more.

Firstly I have my Cath Kidston pouch that I put any make-up I might be carrying and also tablets etc to keep it looking really neat in one place inside the bag. I also have a hair tie and some mints and my Ray Ban sunglasses.

I then throw in a book (I'm currently reading Roald Dahl's BFG- I'm re-reading all of these amazing books!) and a small shopping bag that looks like a pineapple and that can be rolled up when not in use.

Finally I have my small Mulberry purse which is actually pretty big and I can fit three cards in the back pocket, a few inside and cash!

I would love to know what you have in your bag, have you got your eye on a new bag? Let me know in the comments!

Till next time,

New In: Seventeen Mega Matte Lipsticks!

Hello My Lovelies

Seventeen is my favourite drugstore brand so when amazing new launches from them arrive on my doorstep I always get a bit excited and want to try them all out immediately. This time it's their mega matte lipsticks in twelve shades which means there's one to suit everybody!

Matte lipsticks are the 'in' thing in the beauty world at the moment and these ones from Seventeen are a great affordable range. Easy to apply once you've exfoliated your lips so that the colour doesn't stick to dry patches. I love using the ones from Lush as they create an amazing smooth lip.

Once on the lips they are super hydrating and not at all drying like I have found with some other brands. The shades I have are 'Pinking Out Loud' a bubble gum pink which is perfect for those with darker skin tones, for me it's a little too pale. The next is my favourite and is called 'Rioja Your World' a deep red almost brown which I'm going to wear daily and finally one I know I'm going to wear on nights out is 'Back To The Fuchsia' a hot pink. I love the names of all of these lipsticks, its great when brands have an imagination and don't just give them a number!

The packaging is great, a non fussy black bullet with a cool chevron design and they are all really pigmented. Seventeen promises thirteen hours of wear- whilst it didn't last that long for me I did think the staying power was pretty darn good even with drinking and eating! Priced at £4.49 its a great way to trial the matte lip before splurging on a high brand version.

I think this trend is one that will be around for a while, have you tried these lipsticks from Seventeen? Let me know in the comments.

Product of the Mid-Month (September): Soap & Glory Shower Jelly!

Hello My Lovelies

The past few weeks I haven't been able to get enough of the Soap & Glory Shower Jelly. When I heard about these products I was super intrigued and they come in my favourite scents I couldn't wait to hit up Boots and pick up a couple.

Firstly they come in the Clean on Me and Sugar Crush scents both divine in their own right secondly they really do feel like jelly- They wibble and wobble around on the hand but once applied to the skin they soon melt and then turn into a gorgeous frothy lather. They make the skin smell great and leave you feeling refreshed and moisturised and with the most lovely soft skin (perfect for those with dry skin.)

I've also been using this bad boy for shaving my legs, who needs shaving foam when you have this to use instead?
At £5.50 it's not going to break the bank and with all Soap & Glory products you know that you are getting a great quality product that will last and last.

Have you tried these from Soap & Glory? What are your favourite scents from them? Let me know in the comments!

Bestival Fun 2016!

Hello My Lovelies

This past weekend was pretty epic as I had tickets for Bestival! This was my first ever time going to Bestival even though I live on the Isle of Wight and work for a charity that goes every year. I decided to go along this year as the organisers offered affordable day tickets (something I've been hoping and asking for years!)

Leading up to Bestival I knew that there was a few artists that I wanted to see and so I downloaded the app ready to plan my Saturday and Sunday- I had to wait to Thursday to see if the people I had hoped I would see would be on the days that I was on site. Luckily they were mainly on the Saturday and then Sunday was all about the headliners! Before I got to Bestival I had heard that there were rumours of the site being much smaller then previous years but this didn't put me off and I was super excited to make my way there.

This years theme (they have a different one every year) was the future! Whilst I'm not into fancy dress I wanted to give a little nod to it and so I wore this amazing star dress from EBay that my sister found for me and was an utter bargain at £7.00. As the weather was so bad I wore leggings, welly boots (that I've not had an excuse to wear in years), my rain coat from Matalan and red charity shop bag.
Whilst it did rain all day it didn't dampen our spirits or the amount of fun we had! First up on the main stage was grime princess Lady Leshurr who rapped and spat lyrics and had the crowd bouncing in the mud-she was definitely a highlight for Saturday.

Following Lady Leshurr was Anne-Marie in the Big Top singing one of my favourite songs of the moment 'Alarm'- it was fab to see all of these up and coming artists in an almost intimate setting.

Later in the day we saw Craig David who by far is the most hard working act of all- his set consisted of DJ'ing whilst singing and performing! Craig brought out the sun and the crowd sang all of his hits back to him with a sprinkling of 90's covers! We decided after spending the day in the rain to call it an early night so that we could see Bastille, Sean Paul and Wiz Khalifa the next day.

Sunday we woke to the hottest Sunday in September the Isle of Wight has ever seen to date which was a great way to start my final day at Bestival!
We mostly spent the day exploring the different areas as we hadn't had the opportunity the previous day. Even though many said that the site was smaller this year I thought that with so much to see and do if it had been any bigger I would of needed another day to see everything.

Sunday's highlight by far was the opportunity to take part in a Reggae Aerobics in 'Carnivale'- it was so much fun bopping along to the beats and the hosts were fab! I wish we had this on the Isle of Wight permanently as I would go every week without fail.
I adored the vibe of Bestival compared to that of say the Isle of Wight Festival, it had a real happy, friendly party aura and the little things like extra covered seating, smaller venues etc. that you don't find at most other festivals around the country really made it for me. I had the best time at Bestival- as I had absolutely nothing to compare it to and of years gone by, I do know that I will be back next year without a doubt.

The World's largest bouncy castle!

    Kids area.

   Space Port!

Until next year Bestival you were an absolute blast! Have you even been to Bestival? What were your highlights make sure you share them with me in the comments!!

Curvy Girl Outfit of the Day 17!

Hello My Lovelies

I can't actually believe this is my 17th curvy girl outfit of the day- when I posted my first outfit post I would never of thought I would get to number 17, mainly because I felt really self conscious in the early days but now with each one I create I feel so much better about the way I look. Anyway...here's my latest outfit taken in my local park when they had a Victorian Fun Fair!
My dress is one I've had for a couple of summers now and one that I picked up in Peacocks. I love that this dress is so light weight and the pattern and colour reminds me of something you would wear on safari but with Aztec elements too. As I'm a curvy girl I'm always on the look out for dresses that are at least knee length as they flatter my body shape the best and I feel that this dress does just that.

I'm wearing here my trusty Ray Ban Aviators- such a lovely light and easy pair of sunglasses to wear and they go with most outfits.

My bag is new to my collection and my first ever purchase from Gucci (It's a Soho Disco). It seems to be a popular bag with bloggers and I can't seem to get enough of checking it out on Instagram to see how others style their outfits with their bag. I don't tend to buy bags in light colours as I want to be able to wear them all year round so I was really reserved and bought this in the black- though the camel and pink shades are very pretty.

Finally my sandals are from Primark last summer- I love the bright colour and think it gives my outfit a pop of colour to an other wise monotone style. They are easy to wear and pretty comfortable for a cheap pair of shoes.

What have been your favourite outfits? Let me know in the comments and be sure to link your latest posts for me to check out.

New In: Carmex Peach & Mango Burst Lip Balm!

Hello My Lovelies

I have an obsession with lip products and the original one from Carmex is particularly fab, when I heard they had launched a non tingling summer peach and mango lip balm I couldn't wait to try it out and share it with you all!

As you would expect from Carmex it's super smoothing and moisturising and comes without the love it or hate it tingle feeling you get with some products. I personally love to use tingle inducing lip products but not every time I moisturise my lips and this product is perfect for every day use! I currently have this one in my work bag ready to put on lips when they feel a little dry.
A beautiful natural shiny lip is created with a thin layer of the lip balm and it has the awesome taste (if you lick your lips) of peach and mango. I could taste and smell the peach more than mango and thought it was a great extra for the Summer months.

You can pick up Carmex for an absolute steal for £2.69 in Boots and Superdrug and also Topshop and ASOS and I also recently saw them in Primark and couldn't resist throwing a few in my basket- I know that they will make great stocking fillers!

Have you tried any of the Carmex products let me know in the comments!

Empties Number 15!

Hello My Lovelies

Summer is nearly over and so are some of my Summer scents and products from this season. I'm sad to say Summer is almost complete but I'm also really excited for Autumn and all of the lovely fragrances and products that I buy and enjoy using during the colder months. Here's what I've recently finished using....

The Liz Earle Rose and Cedrat Cleanse and Polish- I'm a sucker for limited edition products and with this one it was no different. Just as effective as the original at removing makeup and leaving my skin smooth and thoroughly cleansed.

Garnier Ambre Solaire Dry Mist Sun Lotion is a new one to my sunscreen collection this year- at first I thought it was gimmick sun product very similar to those that I had seen in the U.S, but it was a really great product to protect me from the sun and really easy to apply. I love that it was so light in texture that it didn't leave a greasy residue on my skin which is a major plus for as I regularly have to reapply sun cream to my very fair skin. How ever for the price it was used very quickly (far quicker than a lot of my other creams) and therefore wasn't very economical for me.

The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom body spray is my favourite Summer scent from the Body Shop and one I use consistently through the warmer months. A lovely sweet floral scent that lingers on the skin for hours and is super refreshing to apply.

What products have you finished recently as we enter Autumn? Let me know in the comments.

New In: Palmer's Shampoo, Conditioner & Flip Balm!

Hello My Lovelies

This Summer I've become a bit obsessed with any products from Palmer's. First it started with the Rapid Moisture Spray Lotion and then it was the sun cream- it's become of my favourite brands and I was beyond excited when I got sent the shampoo and conditioner and new flip balm to try.

The shampoo and conditioner I've been trying are in Palmer's signature scent cocoa butter and is for those that want a gentle cleanse with all the benefits of the rich cocoa butter formula. The vitamin E in this product helps to repair any damaged hair and is an essential step for future strengthening of the follicle which allows your hair to grow longer-which is a bonus as I'm always looking to lengthen my hair!
I absolutely adore the addition of the Peppermint Oil which definitely soothed my scalp and made it feel really fresh, wonderfully clean whilst giving my head that fab mild tingle and infused with the scent that was most definitely a delicious chocolate fragrance. My hair has taken a good battering this summer from the sun, sea and chlorine and I feel that the duo have helped to make my hair feel much smoother and less damaged and I'll be picking them up next time I visit Superdrug!

I'm a total sucker for new lip products I already love my EOS and Carmex lip balms and I think this is another one to repurchase and keep in my collection. Full of natural cocoa butter perfect for moisturising dry lips, vitamin E and refreshing mango extract. It glides on so easily and gives your lips a lovely sheen. The best bit about this particuar lip product is the fact it doesn't include any parabens, petrolatum, phthalates or even gluten!
The packaging gets me hook line and sinker, a cute orange ball (so easily found in the bottom of my bag) that flips open to reveal the balm. The scent isn't of mango but cocoa butter but once the lips you can taste the juicy mango flavour.
Priced at £4.99 it's the same price point as EOS but pricier than Carmex & Vaseline- how ever it is the perfect pay day treat.

Have you tried any products from Palmer's, what are your favourites? Let me know in the comments!
