Product of the month-August 2017!

Hello My Lovelies

Welcome back to another product of the month-this time it's all about a lipstick I purchased with the last of my Icelandic currency when coming through duty free back in February!

When popping through the shops at the airport I knew I wanted to use up all my currency as it was pointless trying to change it back to English pounds as the exchange rate is always so shocking. I decided to have a look at some of the different brands and decided that I didn't have a lipstick in my collection from Lancôme so that would be make a great choice. Little did I know that after spending all of my money that we would be stranded in Iceland for an extra day due to the weather and that the cash would of come in handy!

Never less it is now part of my ever growing collection and one that has become a firm favourite. When I first applied L'absolu rouge (cream formulation) in the shade Rose Nu I was a bit disappointed it was more like a lip balm with a slight colour and had a horrid after taste. I kept applying it over the coming days building up the colour, it now doesn't need much to create a lovely berry colour.

The packaging is pretty neat-clicking the bottom and the lid coming off to reveal the lipstick. priced at £25.50 they aren't cheap but make a great treat come pay day or maybe dare I say it a fab gift for a loved one this Christmas!

Have you tried any of the Lancôme lipsticks? Let me know in the comments or on my twitter @steaders83

Curvy Girl OOTD 25-Wedding Guest Edition!

Hello My Lovelies

A couple of weekends ago I was invited along to a wedding reception and my dress was just two awesome not to share with you.

I bought this navy dress from Peacocks a couple of years ago for my trip to Las Vegas but never actually got to wear- I think I was a little nervous I was too big for it so it's sat waiting to be worn since then. I'm a bit of a fan of the colour navy which I also think is perfect for a summer wedding.

I paired my Peacocks dress with a pair of Marks and Spencer heels which are also navy and super comfy- I wore them all night even having a bit of a dance without having to take them off.

To finish off my look I added my YSL Dylan bag and a denim jacket as it was a bit windy and also rained in the evening.

Have you got any OOTD blog posts- I would love to see your most recent favourite outfit so please do share them with me.

Till next time,

The Ordinary Serum Foundation!

Hello My Lovelies

The Ordinary seems to have appeared from no where and taken over every beauty lover's skin care routine and now they have foundations!

I was originally after the coverage foundation but it was out of stock and I was determined to try something from the range so I decided to order the serum foundation.

It was really simple and quick to order directly from the website and I was really pleased with the colour selection to choose from as there appeared to be a decent range for all skin types. I did have to guess for my skin as I'm quite pale but once it arrived I realised it was a perfect match.

The packaging is unique in that it comes in a small black plastic bottle and is extremely light weight- there isn't a lid though so not particularly easy to travel with. For a serum foundation it was actually pretty darn high coverage and blended well with my usual makeup brush! I would say The Ordinary foundation looked super natural and lasted the whole day with only a slight touch up of powder as I have oily skin.
At £5.70 for 30ml it's an absolute bargain buy and it even has SPF15!

Have you tried any of the skin care or foundations from The Ordinary? What did you think?

Till next time,
                  Tori.

New In: Orly Coastal Crush Summer Polishes

Hello My Lovelies

Ooooh new nail summer polishes from ORLY have just dropped through my door and I just let out a little whoop at the formula! I also may just be crushin' ever so slightly on the colours in this range!

The new Coastal Crush collection comes in six amazing shades I currently have 'No Regrets' a vibrant pink perfect for beach holidays and showing off your summer tan and 'Under the Stars' a deep navy which would look great in Summer evenings for a party or two. They also have an orange, coral, purple and blue which all look just as fab!
Both polishes were so easy to apply and super shiny on first application- I was actually shocked at just how shiny they were.

I prefer 'No Regrets' because it's a colour I know I'll wear lots through the warmer months and I will also add to my toenails too- the polish dried so quickly and I didn't use a base or top coat to achieve such a high quality finish! The colour lasted a good 5 days before any wear and tear which I was really pleased with- I've seen these online for £7.95 which might be slightly pricier then some polishes but for the quality you get with ORLY it's worth investing even in just one from the Coastal Crush collection.

Have you tried any nail polishes from ORLY? let me know what you think in the comments or over on Instagram @wonderfulworldblog.

Product of the month-July 2017!

Hello My Lovelies

Look at this I'm back with another product of the month, after having a break from them! This month is a product which is unfortunately not so easy to get your hands on- but if you can is totally worth it.

The Sephora charcoal exfoliating wipes are the bees knees of the face wipe world for me and that's a big statement to make from the girl who has tried most wipes out there!

I picked these up when I was in Copenhagen over Easter- I had never tried any face wipes from the brand before so I grabbed these and also some of my favourite face masks. The wipe on one side is the best exfoliator I have ever had on a wipe before- it really did buff my skin and allow me to remove grime and dry patches before using the soft side which was fab to use after giving my face a good scrub. The wipe has no scent and is really damp so you don't feel you're dragging it over the skin- a dry wipe is my biggest pet hate and the pack will automatically be thrown in the bin.

The downside to this product is the availability as there is no UK store- you can order them online or if you're in Europe see if there is a Sephora so that you too can try these! I'll be going to New York in October so I'll definitely be stocking up on these babies. These wipes are a little pricier at about £5.00 per pack but in my opinion 100% worth it!

Have you tried any of the Sephora face wipes or masks? What are your favourite ones? Let me know in the comments or on Instagram @wonderfulworldblog

Empties 20!

Hello My Lovelies

I'm back with another empties- all the good stuff was used up this month which was a bit sad but I'm glad that I can add some amazing products to my holy grail list!

First up is Dove's pear and aloe deodorant- I love trying new deodorant fragrances but I always tend to go back to the same brands which Dove has never really been apart of. Since using this fresh and fruity deodorant up its definitely made it on to my go to brands for antiperspirant. No white marks on my clothes, no irritations on my sensitive skin and a lovely scent- I've stocked up on these whilst they are on offer in Superdrug at the moment!

Next is a packet of face wipes from Sephora- I don't want to say too much as a blog post is coming up on these! What I will say is WOW!

A firm favourite for years is the Collection lasting perfection concealer as soon as I know I'm running low on this amazing concealer I'm straight to Boots or Superdrug to stock up on some more- it is by far the best drugstore concealer out there!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz eyebrow pencil is the only brow pencil I'll now use- its easy to apply and is the perfect shade for my brows. Other pencils are just too waxy and don't last but this one ticks all of the boxes.

Lastly is the Body Shop vanilla body mist- I'm not a fan of perfumes, they give me the biggest headache but the body mists from Body Shop are perfect as they are not too over powering but last the whole day. The vanilla one is usually my go to for the winter months and then I use the coconut and Japanese cherry blossom for summer. If you haven't checked these out make sure you pop by your local shop and have a sniff!

What are your current empties? Let me know in the comments or on twitter @steaders83

New In: Soap & Glory The Rushower Dry Shampoo!

Hello My Lovelies

I've been a fan of all that is Soap & Glory for years- it all started with the body washes which then became about the lip glosses and now it's all about the brand spanking new Rushower dry shampoo!

I already have a huge thing for dry shampoo- having gone from a complete hater of the stuff it is now a staple in my beauty stash. I use dry shampoo everyday without fail to give my a hair a bit of bounce and to obviously combat the greasy hair so I need it to be good. Soap & Glory's version is epic with the original pink scent that an obsessive S&G fan like me loves as you can a slight whiff as the day progresses.

The dry shampoo isn't chalky and has never left an residue in my hair which is a must have when I'm selecting a new product to try, I mean who wants crunchy white hair when they are walking around or in my case at work speaking with clients! S&G's Rushower keeps my hair feeling really fresh all day and is suitably priced at £4.00 for a 200ml bottle or you can pick up a super handy dinky bottle for trips and handbags for £2.50.

I know which dry shampoo I'll be packing in my bag for France next month! Have you tried the Rushower yet? Let me know what you think in the comments or over on my Instagram wonderfulworldblog.

New In: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Skin Care!

Hello My Lovelies

I've not tried anything from Neutrogena for years if at all so when some of their new range arrived I was super excited to give it a whirl! read on to read my full thoughts...

Everybody that has read my blog for some time will know that I have a bit of an obsession for face wipes and that I'm always wanting to try new ones so I was beyond happy when I started to use the Hydro Boost from Neutrogena to find that they were super soft, moisturising and hydrating. The wipe did a fab first cleanse removing all of my makeup including mascara- there was no odd or overpowering smell left on my skin after either.

The Hydro Boost cleanser is my second favourite product from the range as it's so easy to use. I popped my bottle with the handy pump in the shower and give my face a quick wash with this most evenings- with my skin I have to be careful not to dry out my skin with products like this so I can't use it every night. The cleanser has a slight scent but nothing that lingers on the skin and is a great way to second cleanse after using the wipes.

Finally the moisturiser is a jelly like substance that has a slight stickiness on the skin and does take a little bit of time to soak in but on the plus side a little really does go a long way. The moisturiser is very refreshing and contains a unique Hyaluronic Gel Matrix to instantly lock in intense hydration and continuously release it as and when your skin needs it throughout the day. My skin reacted to the hyaluronic acid (which is found naturally in the skin) in this product so I had to stop using it and pass it on to my mum to use- but surprisingly I didn't have any reaction to the wipes or cleanser.

Have you tried any of the Hydro Boost products from Neutrogena? What do you think of them? Let me know in the comments!

Isle of Wight Festival 2017!

Hello My Lovelies

A couple of Sundays a go I spent the day at the Isle of Wight Festival- I've not been since 2010 due to the line-up not being all that amazing and the cost. This year they were selling tickets for £45 so it was a bit silly not to go and enjoy a festival that's on my own doorstep!

We started the day off by walking around the site and checking out all of the stalls, watching the crazy festival goers on all of the fun fair rides and stopping for an ice lolly as it was so hot.

We then made our way along to the main stage to watch the Vamps, pure pop cheesiness but fun none the less. My favourite band of the day and one of the main reasons for going along was to see the Shires- a U.K country duo, I've seen them twice before so it was fab to see them shining at a festival on my island!
We then grabbed some food before listening to Imelda May, George Esra and then having a dance and sing-along with Bastille who are just great live!

We actually left before Rod Stewart took to the stage as headliner as once the sun went down it became bitterly cold and I'm not a huge fan of the cold or Rod!

It was a great day out and one I would replicate next year if the price of tickets remained the same. Have you been to a festival yet this year? Have you ever been to the Isle of Wight festival? Let me know your thoughts in the comments or over on twitter @steaders83.

Curvy Girl OOTD 24!

Hello My Lovelies

With the wonderful weather we've been experiencing here in the U.K it seemed silly to not get out and discover parts of my Island and obviously I couldn't resist getting a few shots even with my lily white legs out on show for the first time this year!

First stop whilst pootling along in the car I spotted this cool graffiti on the side of a house that I had to stop and have a quick pose. The dress I'm wearing is from Peacocks a couple of years ago-it's so light weight and just right for a warm day.

Next it was along to an old house, they had just had a wedding there the night before so it was lovely to see it all set up for an event. My denim jacket is a charity shop find for £3 and my sandals are my old faithful's from last summer that I picked up in Marks and Spencer and are probably the most comfortable shoes I wear when its hot.

Last stop was to the beach for ice cream and a walk along the seafront. My bag is my go to from Gucci and sunglasses are Rayban Erika's.

How did you spend the weekend? Let me know in the comments or on twitter @steaders83.

A day at Chelsea Flower Show!

Hello My Lovelies

A couple of weeks ago I went to my first ever Chelsea Flower Show after years of admiring on TV and social media. I went along with family members who all decided they would like to go on the last day of the show as this is when many of the plants are sold- my mum who is an avid gardener really wanted to the opportunity to buy some flowers.
*Apologies in advance for all of the photographs but they are just too pretty not to share!

As we were getting to London so early and spending all day looking around the gardens I booked us in to have breakfast at Bronte where I had been last Christmas and really enjoyed.
It was then time to hop on the tube and take a walk along the Kings Road (literally my favourite place in all of London!) it was a really short walk to the entrance & then it became apparent how big and busy the event really is!

If I counted them correctly I believe that there was eight show gardens; I actually expected more and for them to be all in one area, or that it would be really obvious but I found it really tricky to navigate and also to have a proper look at each one due to the sheer volume of visitors.

The artisan exhibitors were pretty amazing you could really see how much time, care and love they had given to each of their displays.

I found the amount of sellers a bit much if I'm being honest- I felt it was more about selling you stuff then actually about all of the pretty gardens you see on the TV and what I actually expected from the show. It was a real experience to go to the Chelsea Flower Show but on reflection I wish we had bought tickets for the members only day where I expect it would of been more chilled.

Have you ever been to the Chelsea Flower Show before? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!

New In: Festival Essentials with Compeed!

Hello My Lovelies

Festival season and summer sandal weather is almost upon us and we all know how much walking we can do during that time! So the amazing products from Compeed have arrived just in time for my visit to the Isle of Wight Festival this weekend!

I have never tried any products from Compeed before but after a weekend of walking around in new sandals I've already given the blister plasters a go. The plasters are clear which is great when you have strappy shoes on and don't want a big ugly normal plaster on your ankles so are super discreet they also protect from rubbing thanks to the advanced plaster profile. I find that when I wear just a plaster it will fall off within a couple of hours but with Compeed they stay on average for 12 hours or longer-which is perfect for hours upon hours on a festival site.

In the Holly Fulton designed pack are five plasters and come in a handy plastic case small enough for handbags and over night bags. They cost £4.99 and if you're lucky you can pick them up on offer from Boots and Superdrug.

The cracked heel over night cream has been preparing my feet for all of the walking I'll be doing this weekend. I added a layer of the cream just before bed and then added cotton socks to protect them and found that my heels were much smoother the following morning. The cream contains a unique blend of Urea and Lactic Acid and intensively moisturises to improve the appearance of cracked heels while you sleep, which is exactly what it did.
I know that the heel cream is going to be a life saver come Sunday night and I'm home from being on my feet all weekend.

Are you off to any festivals this year? Will you have Compeed in your bag for emergencies? Let me know in the comments or pop along and check out my Instagram at @wonderfulworldblog.

New In: Mandara Spa-Oriental Retreat!

Hello My Lovelies

The lovely lot over at Mandara Spa sent me some gorgeous products from their new range Oriental Retreat- I love all of the products from the brand so I'm always really excited when a new scent arrives.

My stand out products are the Bath Milk and Bath Soap Petals as I do love relaxing in a bath a couple of times a week and both of these products are an utter treat to use in a hot bath at the end of a long day. The scent is cedarwood and sweet orange with orange being one of my most favourite fragrances in bath and shower items. It's a perfect blend of woody and citrus notes which is perfect for this time of year as we begin to hit the summer months.

Both the bath milk and bath soap petals are infused with conditioning starflower oil, indulgent Oriental orchid extract, moisturising sweet almond oil and fragrant cedarwood oil, sweet orange and cumin which leaves my skin feeling beautifully soft and moisturised. The entire collection is free from parabens, microbeads, mineral oils, SLES and SLS.

This range is so affordable yet the packaging screams luxury, they make the best presents for family and friends. You can pick up the whole range plus more from Sainsbury's with bath milk costing £7 and the bath soap petals £4 which is an utter bargain for a pamper evening this Summer!

Have you tried anything from Mandara Spa? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

The Youtuber's made me buy it-Fashion Edition!

Hello My Lovelies

Youtuber's and bloggers are super influencers, I always recommend products to friends and family and also here on my blog and I wonder how often do people take those recommendations and buy the products? I too love to see what other bloggers are purchasing and on occasion go and buy some of my favourite items.

I recently saw this belt on Fleur De Force's Coachella vlog- a western style leather belt from Topshop. I had been looking for a new belt for some time and when I saw Fleur wearing hers I knew I had to have it.
Also from Topshop and seen on Hannah Gale's Instagram are these wooden and suede block heel sandals. I really didn't need another pair of shoes but Hannah had styled them so effortlessly that I knew they would look great this summer with really simply outfits. The heel height is just right for someone like me that literally can't walk in anything other flat shoes!!

I can't say one particular blogger or Youtuber influenced me to purchase this jumper as I saw it across social media but the pretty Spring pink shade and comfy style is perfect for lounging around or I'll wear my to my dance classes. It was £5 in Primark which is an utter bargain!!

Finally this t-shirt was spotted on Tanya Burr's video's and social media. I picked this up in New Look which was actually part of a pj set. I wear the bottoms to bed and wear the top with denim skirts and boots on the weekends. I love the text but just wish the date was 1983 and not 1993 as this was the year I was born. It's a really light material so will be fab to wear in the warmer months coming up (well hopefully!)

What have your favourite youtuber's inspired you to buy? Let me know in the comments or on my Instagram at wonderfulworldblog.

Empties 19!

Hello My Lovelies

I'm back with another empties and all of the goodies that I've actually been able to finish this past month.
First up is a new product to my stash Superdrug's Active shampoo which removes chlorine and salt so perfect for the next few month's when I spend any free time in the pool or on the beach- after using this tube up I've already purchased another.
Next is L'Oreal's shampoo/conditioner- I bought it on a whim wanting to see how a conditioner could also act as a shampoo and whilst it was a nice product to try it wasn't amazing. I felt it dried out my hair so I had to use a hair oil or a pre hair mask. The bottle is really big though so great value!
COLAB is my holy grail dry shampoo- I couldn't live without this brand, if you haven't tried any of their products do it today.

L'Oreal face wipes in the fine flowers scent were also another new product I saw when I was walking around Boots- I would definitely buy them again as they were super cleansing.
From Bath and Body Works I've just finished using the warm brown sugar body spray a sweet winter scent. I used this every day for a good couple of months to finish it up as I didn't want to leave it in my cupboard half used till next Winter.
The final two products are items that I always repurchase as soon as I know they are almost used up. A No7 eyebrow pencil which is perfect for every day use and lasts all day, which is rare for a drugstore pencil and Nivea Q10 pore refining day cream which is by far the best face cream I've used for some time. It's not too rich and a little goes a long way- I always pick this up on offer in Superdrug.

What have been your most used products? Let me know in the comments or via twitter @steaders83.

Curvy Girl OOTD 23: Birthday Edition!

Hello My Lovelies

Last month I celebrated my 34th Birthday, I think it's the first one I've not actually cried on since turning 30 and I had the best day (which I've previously blogged about). Before I went for lunch my sister and I found this pretty little field filled with rape seed and got a few shots.

My entire outfit is from New Look other than my accessories- I tend to find a few bits in New Look every now again that I love and then I won't find anything again for absolutely ages.

The skirt is a black denim with fraying and so comfortable to wear-some of my skirts I'm constantly pulling down but not this one. My jumper is a perfect light pink, I'm really into pink items and when I tried this on in my local shop I knew it would look great with my denim skirt. The jumper also has a really unique cut out pattern that runs along the top.

My leggings and boots are staples from Sainsbury's and my bag my new go to when I don't need to take much out is my YSL Dylan. As I've said in a previous OOTD the boots have the slightest block heel which make them comfortable to wear and look great with skirts, jeans and dresses so they literally haven't been off my feet in months. Finally my sunglasses are from Ray-Ban and remind me of styles from the 1930's.

What are your favourite items of clothing or brands at the moment? Make sure you leave me a comment or check out my Instagram at wonderfulworldblog

Product of the Month-May 2017!

Hello My Lovelies

I've not written a product of the month for so long- but I've been loving the Urban Decay all nighter setting spray for months and couldn't resist 'bigging' it up here on my blog!

Firstly how did I live without this product for so long?? Why didn't somebody tell me that I needed it in my makeup stash and then frog march me to my nearest stockist?

I've been using the Urban Decay all nighter makeup setting spray for just over a year after picking up one of the mini bottles in Sephora. Since that trip to Sephora I have been obsessed with using this little gem to set my makeup on days when I really need it to last. Before UD setting spray I never really saw the point of using anything other than powder to set my makeup but this is a game changer. I always end up with a greasy t-zone and the spray really does keep the shine at bay for hours without clogging my pores and makes my finished look pretty much flawless.

You can pick up a 118ml bottle of the spray for £23.50 or a 30ml travel size for £10- whilst to me that is a little pricey it is so worth the price and especially if you can get a discount code.

Have you tried the Urban Decay setting sprays before- let me know your thoughts in the comments or via twitter @steaders83.

Copenhagen Haul!

Hello My Lovelies

When I go on little trips I don't tend to go shopping but it was too tempting to not go into a few shops and pick up a few bits whilst away on my mini break.

First up was Sephora for a couple of face masks, I used these for the first time last year when I went to Las Vegas. Whilst they are a little pricey I knew I wanted some more the next time I went to a Sephora. I also grabbed some face wipes for the first time which are amazing- one side of the wipe is rough and is great for exfoliating and the other super smooth and perfect for cleansing.

Next up I went and had a look in Victoria's Secret- a couple of years ago I would never of even looked at any of their items but now I've lost some weight I know that a lot of their clothes and in particular their underwear will now fit my curvy bottom! I couldn't resist these two pairs, I especially love the VS ones as these are my initials. I can't wait to be going to New York at the end of the year and have the chance to shop in bigger Victoria's Secret and Sephora.

Before we hopped on the plane I went into Accessorize in duty free and picked up a new sunglasses case with the cutest cactus print and some hoop earrings that I've wanted to repurchase for ages after loosing my last pair.

Finally I picked up two magnets from Copenhagen and Malmo to add to my ever growing collection. Here's to my next trip so I can add some more!

Where was the last place you visited- make sure you share with me in the comments!

What I got for my Birthday 2017!

Hello My Lovelies

Last month was my Birthday- For the first time in a long time I decided to take the day off and I spent it by having a lovely lay in and then going for lunch. In today's post I wanted to share as I always do what I got for my birthday, I was absolutely spoilt with some lovely gifts.

My sister gifted me this super colourful quilt covered in fried eggs which I think came from Primark- on the reverse side its grey (which matches my wall) and has bacon and toast all over it. I love how vibrant this is and it literally makes me smile every time I go into my room.

My sister also bought me these sausage dog pj's from Matalan, she knows that I really want to have a sausage dog in the future and again the orange colour is so bright and summery that I can't wait to wear them.

My parents bought me a voucher for a back massage as in the past year I try to treat myself to one a month and also my favourite chocolate a chocolate orange. They also gave me some cash towards my most recent bag purchase my YSL Dylan.

With a few presents still to come from people I haven't seen I was truly treated so thank you to all of those that wished me a happy birthday.

Till text time,

Copenhagen & Malmo Highlights!

Hello My lovelies

My Easter weekend was spent in Denmark and Sweden exploring the cities of Copenhagen and Malmo. It was a fun weekend full of laughs and seeing new things so read on to see my highlights!

On Easter Saturday we spent the day hopping on and off of the buses going around the city as it was torrential rain and freezing cold! Sadly the bus had no heating so we sat on a cold bus all day which wasn't the most fun thing I've ever done. However it was great to visit the beautiful coloured buildings that I had admired for years and pop into a café for a hot drink.

We then went along to visit the Little Mermaid based on the fairy tale of the same name by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. I was really shocked to see how small she is- I was expecting a larger sculpture. It was a flying trip down to the waters edge as the temperature was hitting zero at this point.

Then it was on to town for some much needed hot food and a walk around the many shops. We couldn't resist picking up some churros covered in nutella and chopped nuts as we spent the rest of the afternoon exploring!

On Easter Sunday we took the train over the bridge from Copenhagen to Malmo Sweden- it takes roughly an hour on the way there and 30 minutes coming back and costs £20 for a return ticket (don't forget your passport!) Malmo is Sweden's third largest city and compared to Copenhagen felt cleaner, prettier older style architecture and bigger spaces to walk and explore.

Never having been to Sweden I wasn't sure what to expect but I loved my first adventure and now can't wait to book a mini trip to Stockholm. We only had a couple of hours so we walked mainly around the main square and grabbed some late lunch to take back to the train with us.

Though it was a flying visit to both Denmark and Sweden I felt that I got a good vibe for each country and I now know that whilst Denmark was fun its Sweden that I want to visit in more detail.

Make sure you check out my recent outfit of the day which was meant to be shot in Denmark but had to be abandoned!

Have you visited either cities before? I would love to hear what you thought- so please do leave me a comment or visit my Instagram wonderfulworldblog or twitter @steaders83.
